can i wear a kilt with kilt hose belt etc with a hoody and trainers without looking silly?
i want a kilt but i have no intention of ever wearing a full prince charlie outfit etc. could i BUY one and safely wear it with a hoody and trainers or something a bit more casual but still formal.
also can ia buy what tartan i like as i prefer other tartans to my family tartans
A lot of people who just wear the kilt (not the full regalia) mix with normal clothes. Most people tend to wear boots, doc martens or walking boots with the kilt, but I don't see why you couldn't wear trainers if you wish. people tend to go with family tartans but there is nothing to stop you buying whatever tartan you like. You could buy a dress kilt which isn't tartan but essentially self coloured suit cloth.
